Will you help Jessy address her career query?

Jessy is highly confused and upset too.

She is stuck and unable to decide her path forward.

Her exceptional abilities make her an all-rounder in academics and extracurricular.

Pursuing her passion for Food and Beverage services, she is open to study in her country and outside.

She is confused because her options are wide open inside and outside her country.

And upset because her parents are skeptical for sending her abroad, fearing her safety and expenses.

What would you do to help her filter out her options and which parameters would you focus on?

Also, how would you handle the parents?

Scholars in Guidance and Counselling believed that for an individual to grow he/she need an environment that provides him/her with genuineness, acceptance and empathy, without these an individual cannot develop and realized his/her dream. Now it is obvious that Jessy is being carried away by her exceptional abilities. Therefore to tap from her potentials she need a proper guidance and counselling services.

As a Client who is being control by youthful exuberances,  we have to make her understand that achieving these goals at the same time seems to be impossible:

A. Passionate about food and beverages services.

B. The need to study at home and abroad at once.

C. Extracurricular activities couple with other challenges of life.

MY COUNSELLING ADVICE TO JESSY

1. Is Jessy the only daughter to her parent? If they send her abroad how do they take care of the younger ones? What about other family demands?

2. Are they strong enough to sponsor all the Children outside of the country?

3. Another important question, why are you upset about your parent decisions? Have you ever sit down and talk to them over the issue? Do you know why they refused? Don t you know that they knew what you don t know? Think twice.

She have wide options both here and abroad right? Let me tell Jessy two rams cannot drink in a single bucket at the same time. Jessy is an intellectual girl she can be whatever she wanted to be at her age. But her parent are not financially strong to pay for her School fees outside of the country and there are many academic institutions in the country which are training students on food and beverages services so why can t she apply for admission? Education is Education wherever it come from. I believed there are many people who excelled in different field in her own country.

After She complete her first degree, secure a job, then she can apply for inservice training into a foreign Country of her interest. I think this is better than westing time. Because her younger ones are coming there is a need to give them a helping hand.

Another important thing I want Jessy  to understand is, She have to cut her coat according to her size. Those Who succeed in life are the ones Who don t give up when things don t take shape at the first place. Now Jessy should sit down and think about the following questions:

I. Who are you?

II. Where are you?

III. What do you want to be?

IV. When?

V. How old are you now?

VI. Who are your parent?

Find answer to this questions and remember time is not by your site.

I will counsel her based on her area of strength and her passion advising her that going for her passion in the area of food and beverage is great and open her mind to the numerous opportunities she stands to enjoy, likewise I will also encourage her parent to allow her follow her carrer path and not fear because there are numerous scholarship programs and benefits she can come across along the way

i believe every individual should pursue their passion as their career so their work will be enjoyable and they will look forward to each day. With Jessy, she has a passion for food and beverage and there are multiple career options in the industry.

she has exceptional abilities so she could even try for a scholarship. She does not need to be upset if her parents are unable to provide complete financial support as there are scholarships for hardworking and exceptional students in most of the colleges and universities.

i would recommend her to be certain and not confused with her goals, therefater focus and look for options in her choosen career path.

First I will ask her to know what she is always Happy doing, among her numerous passions.

Then in terms of her studies abroad we will consider her parents, wether they financially buoyant enough. Then since she loves catering I may encourage her to.

For her parents I will encourage them to support her dreams, but if they can t fund her education. They can help her advice to seek for scholarships
