Civil engineers are professional who design, create and manage the infrastructure around us. They can work on the construction of roads, pipelines, airports, dams, estate planning and even offshore projects. Depending on their interest, they can work in the private sector or a government firm. They can work as a consultant, who directly works for the client to manage and design the project as per client interest, or as a contractor who works on the field and supervise construction projects.
Example: Burj Khalifa, English Channel Tunnel, Golden Gate Bridge, Hoover Dam are the examples of the work of a civil engineer.
There are 2 ways to become a Civil Engineer in India
Student can do 12-Science(Maths recommended). Then complete B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Further you can Proceed with MTech in Civil Engineering. Further you can Proceed with Ph.D..
