Graduating from the renowned College of Engineering Pune (COEP), one of India’s premier government engineering institutions, I embarked on a pioneering journey as the first female site engineer to secure placement with the prestigious Shapoorji Pallonji construction company. This milestone not only marked a breakthrough in a male-dominated industry but also set the foundation for a long and fulfilling career in civil engineering and education. Selected by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) as a professor, I have dedicated over 25 years to teaching and mentoring, having guided more than 3,000 students who are now successful professionals.
My role has extended beyond traditional academics to include admission counseling, exam coordination, and hands-on mentor-ship in innovative technical projects, instilling in my students a practical and forward-thinking approach to civil engineering. Additionally, as a registered land and building valuer with the Institution of Valuers (IOV), I bring a depth of expertise that enhances my teaching and consultancy work, blending technical precision with practical insights.
