Trainer, Social Worker & Author . With a Ph.D. in New Historicism, was awarded a doctoral degree by SASTRA University, Tamil Nadu, India. At the same time, someone who possesses a deep interest in interdisciplinary research.
She is a person with varied teaching experience who took up teaching assignments in English Language Institute of Jazan University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In KSA she activetly engaged students in the College of Applied Medical Sciences and Nursing. In 2019 she brought in notable changes in the content and format of the newsletter of ELI (English Language Institute) as a Head in the Publication & Press Unit. Dr. Amutha Amalraj was a member of Jazan University’s IRCST Team; Research Unit, and Print & media Unit of ELI.
In India she has served at BITS- Pillani- Hyderabad and VIT, Vellore with her expertise is in the field of Technical Communication for Engineers as the course coordinator, contributing to course and material development which was subsequently published.
Her research was recognised for a tribal group and her contribution towards a book chapter The Language Loss of the Indigenous published by Routledge ( Ed. G. N. Devy, Geoffrey V. Davis, K. K. ) featured her article The forgotten tribe -The Kuravars of Tamil Nadu.
In 2018 she was the first recipient of the ‘The Mother Theresa Award’ by the International Rotary Club, Chapter of Kumbakonam in recognition for her continuation of social service.
She has published Unaware She Fought an Inevitable Battle, a novella based on the life of a woman belonging to a Socially backward community besides authoring several books, contribution to book chapters and academic articles that relate to literature, English language teaching and community welfare.
